Follow up Examination:

The first follow up to a doctor should be between 10-14days after birth. It is important to check the baby’s weight and confirm that the baby is feeding well. The doctor also needs to confirm that both the mother and baby are doing well.

Report to the Doctor if:

  • The baby feeds poorly and sleeps too much ,cries all the time as through hungry, passes urine less than 4 times in 24 hours.
  • Develops jaundice: yellow discolouration of the skin and eyes.
  • Temperature above 38 deg celsius/100 deg Farenheit.
